Visits

What is a spirit visitation?

A gentle reminder that our loved ones are watching over us from heaven.

Maybe a dream, an animal, a person that looks JUST like them, a song that comes on the radio, your electronics goes wonky and your personal things may shift.

They come in many ways.

Before my mom passed away I would rarely get these visits, and now I seem to get them more frequently. Maybe over time I've become more open to these, and they are so incredible.

When I'm sleeping is when I get the majority of my visits, and they make me feel connected to the people that have passed.

The way they smell -

How they feel -

How they look -

How it feels to touch them again -

It's like they are hugging you in the physical form. I had a visit this past summer when I returned from visiting my dad, and that night my mom came to me while I was sleeping and she was standing there right beside my bed, and I got to hug her so tight - it felt amazing, and it was just what I needed.

My daughter had a visit come to her one night, and when she went to bed and left her phone on the nightstand. When I came in to wake her up the next morning her phone was on and it had a picture of mama lit up and the room smelled just like my mom. It was so amazing!! She didn't have a dream visit but she was definitely there.

Sometimes you can talk to your person and ask for a sign and sometimes that works too.

I was planning my mom's memorial slide show and I needed one more song, and said that out loud and all of sudden in my head was "Turn, Turn, Turn" by the Byrds - I hate that song, but I know that was my mom telling me to use that song because she liked it - it was so crazy because I didn't have the radio on at the time, it just came to me - I did use the song in the slide show.

There are so many instances of visits - even the feel of my cat Ashley. I can sometimes feel her jump up onto my bed and sit down, and when I look, there's no one there - but I know it's her.

Sprit is so mind-blowing, and having an open mind really makes a difference to my life.

Some people believe, some people don't - I am a believer - it brings me comfort and that makes me happy.

Carrie tells Big/the reading lamp to blink if he's trying to reach her....and when nothing happens, she shuts it off, and lays down. A few seconds later, the lamp suddenly turns itself back on, prompting Carrie to smile...."That is soooo you." She turns it off, falls asleep, and has a vivid dream about being on the same bridge in Paris as where Big told Carrie she was "the one" in the SATC finale. Carrie wakes up, and notices that the reading lamp has turned itself back on. Carries tells Miranda and Charlotte that Big came to her in a dream last night and expressed his final wish to have his ashes scattered into the Seine from the bridge in Paris, which she calls "our bridge"
